Rishon [1st]: 33:1-7
33 1This is the blessing, with which Moshe the man of God blessed the children of Yisra'el before his death.

2“ADONAI came from Sinai,
Rose from Se`ir to them;
He shined forth from Mount Paran,
He came from the ten thousands of holy ones:
At his right hand was a fiery law for them.
3Yes, he loves the people;
All his holy ones are in your hand:
They sat down at your feet;
The receive of your instruction,

4The Torah that Moshe commanded us,
An inheritance for the assembly of Ya`akov.
5He was king in Yeshurun,
When the heads of the people were gathered,
All the tribes of Yisra'el together.

6Let Re'uven live, and not die;
Nor let his men be few.

7Of Yehudah and he said,

Hear, ADONAI, the plea of Yehudah,
Bring him in to his people.
With his hands he contended for himself;
You shall be a help against his adversaries.

Sheni [2nd]: 33:8-12
8Of Levi he said,

Your Tummim and your Urim are with your godly one,
Whom you did prove at Massah,
With whom you did strive at the waters of Merivah;
9Who said of his father mother, I have not seen them;
Neither did he acknowledge his brothers,
Nor knew he his own children:
For they have observed your word,
Keep your covenant.
10They shall teach Ya`akov your ordinances and Yisra'el your Torah:
They shall put incense before you,
Whole burnt offering on your altar.
11ADONAI, bless his substance,
Accept the work of his hands:
Smite through the loins of those who rise up against him,
Of those who hate him, that they not rise again.

12Of Binyamin he said,

The beloved of ADONAI shall dwell in safety by him;
He covers him all the day long,
He dwells between his shoulders.

Shlishi [3rd]: 33:13-17
13Of Yosef he said,

Blessed of ADONAI be his land,
For the precious things of the heavens, for the dew,
For the deep that couches beneath,
14For the precious things of the fruits of the sun,
For the precious things of the growth of the moons,
15For the chief things of the ancient mountains,
For the precious things of the everlasting hills,
16For the precious things of the eretz and the fullness of it,
The good will of him who lived in the bush.
Let [the blessing] come on the head of Yosef,
On the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.
17The firstborn of his herd, majesty is his;
His horns are the horns of the wild-ox:
With them he shall push the peoples all of them, [even] the ends of the eretz:
They are the ten thousands of Efrayim,
They are the thousands of Menashsheh.

R'vi'i [4th]: 33:18-21
18Of Zevulun he said,

Rejoice, Zevulun, in your going out;
Yissakhar, in your tents.
19They shall call the peoples to the mountain;
There shall they offer sacrifices of righteousness:
For they shall suck the abundance of the seas,
The hidden treasures of the sand.

20Of Gad he said,

Blessed be he who enlarges Gad:
He dwells as a lioness,
Tears the arm, yes, the crown of the head.
21He provided the first part for himself,
For there was the lawgiver's portion reserved;
He came [with] the heads of the people;
He executed the righteousness of ADONAI,
His ordinances with Yisra'el.

Chamishi [5th]: 33:22-26
22Of Dan he said,

Dan is a lion's whelp,
That leaps forth from Bashan.

23Of Naftali he said,

Naftali, satisfied with favor,
Full with the blessing of ADONAI,
Possess you the west and the south.

24Of Asher he said,

Blessed be Asher with children;
Let him be acceptable to his brothers,
Let him dip his foot in oil.
25Your bars shall be iron and brass;
As your days, so shall your strength be.
26There is none like God, Yeshurun,
Who rides on the heavens for your help,
In his excellency on the skies.

Shishi [6th]: 33:27-29

27The eternal God is [your] dwelling-place,
Underneath are the everlasting arms.
He thrust out the enemy from before you, Said, Destroy.
28Yisra'el dwells in safety,
The fountain of Ya`akov alone,
In a land of grain and new wine;
Yes, his heavens drop down dew.
29Happy are you, Yisra'el:
Who is like you, a people saved by ADONAI,
The shield of your help,
The sword of your excellency!
Your enemies shall submit themselves to you;
You shall tread on their high places.

Shvi'i [7th]: 34:1-12
34 1Moshe went up from the plains of Mo'av to Mount Nevo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Yericho. ADONAI shown him all the land of Gil`ad, to Dan, 2and all Naftali, and the land of Efrayim and Menashsheh, and all the land of Yehudah, to the hinder sea, 3and the South, and the Plain of the valley of Yericho the city of palm trees, to Tzo`ar. 4ADONAI said to him, This is the land which I swore to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Ya`akov, saying, I will give it to your seed: I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.

5So Moshe the servant of ADONAI died there in the land of Mo'av, according to the word of ADONAI. 6He buried him in the valley in the land of Mo'av over against Beit-Pe`or: but no man knows of his tomb to this day.

7Moshe was one hundred twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated. 8The children of Yisra'el wept for Moshe in the plains of Mo'av thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moshe were ended.

9Y'hoshua ben Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moshe had laid his hands on him: and the children of Yisra'el listened to him, and did as ADONAI commanded Moshe.

10There has not arisen a prophet since in Yisra'el like Moshe, whom ADONAI knew face to face, 11in all the signs and the wonders, which ADONAI sent him to do in the land of Mitzrayim, to Par`oh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, 12and in all the mighty hand, and in all the great terror, which Moshe worked in the sight of all Yisra'el.

Hazak, hazak, v'nit'chazek!
Be strong, be strong, and let us be strengthened!

Traditionally, when we reach the end of the Torah, we re-roll the scroll to
B'resheet and read the first few verses so the cycle of Torah is unbroken.

B'resheet (Genesis) 1:1-5

1  1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.

3God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness. 5God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. There was evening and there was morning, one day.

Y'hoshua (Joshua) 1:1–18

1 1Now it happened after the death of Moshe the servant of ADONAI, that ADONAI spoke to Y'hoshua ben Nun, Moshe's minister, saying, 2Moshe my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Yarden, you, and all this people, to the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Yisra'el. 3Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread on, to you have I given it, as I spoke to Moshe. 4From the wilderness, and this Levanon [Lebanon], even to the great river, the river Perat [Euphrates], all the land of the Hitti, and to the great sea [Mediterranian] toward the going down of the sun, shall be your border. 5There shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moshe, so I will be with you; I will not fail you, nor forsake you.

6Be strong and of good courage; for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7Only be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law, which Moshe my servant commanded you: don't turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. 8This book of the Torah shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate thereon day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. 9Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; don't be afraid, neither be dismayed: for ADONAI your God is with you wherever you go.

10Then Y'hoshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11Pass through the midst of the camp, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days you are to pass over this Yarden, to go in to possess the land, which ADONAI your God gives you to possess it.

12To the Re'uveni, and to the Gadi, and to the half-tribe of Menashsheh, Y'hoshua said, 1Remember the word which Moshe the servant of ADONAI commanded you, saying, ADONAI your God gives you rest, and will give you this land. 14Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall abide in the land which Moshe gave you beyond the Yarden; but you shall pass over before your brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor, and shall help them; 15until ADONAI have given your brothers rest, as [He has given] you, and they also have possessed the land which ADONAI your God gives them: then you shall return to the land of your possession, and possess it, which Moshe the servant of ADONAI gave you beyond the Yarden toward the sunrise.

16They answered Y'hoshua, saying, All that you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go. 17According as we listened to Moshe in all things, so will we listen to you: only ADONAI your God be with you, as he was with Moshe. 18Whoever he be who shall rebel against your mitzvah, and shall not listen to your words in all that you command him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of good courage.

HaBasar (the Gospel) according to …

Lukas (Luke) 24:44–53      [TOP]

24 44Yeshua said to them, “This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the Torah of Moshe, the prophets, and the psalms, concerning Me must be fulfilled.” 45Then He opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures. 46He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Messiah to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47and that repentance and remission of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all the goyim, beginning at Yerushalayim. 48You are witnesses of these things. 49Behold, I send forth the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Yerushalayim until you are clothed with power from on high.” 50He led them out as far as to Beit-Anyah, and He lifted up His hands, and spoke a brakhah over them. 51It happened, while He Was speaking the brahkah over them, that Hhe withdrew from them, and was carried up into the heavenlies. 52They worshiped Him, and returned to Yerushalayim with great joy, 53and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amein.

HaKepher (The Apostolic Letter) from …

Y'hudah (Jude) 3-4, 8-10

3My dear friends, while I was anxious to write to you about the salvation we share, I found it necesafy to write to you urging you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once and for all delivered to those who have been set apart by God. 4Because certain individuals, whose condemnation was written about long ago, have crept secretly into our midst, — ungodly people who use the grace of our God as a license for debauchery, denying our only Master and Lord, Yeshua the Messiah. …

8Yet in the same way these people defile their own flesh with their lascivious imaginings, despise divine authority, and blaspheme against angelic beings. 9But Mikha'el, chief of the angels, when he was disputing with the devil and arguing over the body of Moshe, did not dare bring an abusive condemnation against him, but said, “May ADONAI rebuke you!” 10But these people speak evil about whatever things they don’t understand, and the things they understand with their natural mind, like unreasoning animals, by these things they are destroyed.

The Blessing of the Messiah

Ba-rookh ah-tah Adonai Eh-lo-hay-noo,
meh-lekh hah-oh-lahm,
ah-sher keed-sha-noo beed-va-reh-khah
v'na-tahn la-noo et Yeshuah M'shee-khay-noo,
v'tzee-va-noo l'he-oat oar lah-oh-lahm.

Blessed are You, O Lord our God,
King of the Universe,
Who has sanctified us in Your Word,
and given us Yeshua, our Messiah,
and commanded us to be a light to the world.
